My Background
I became interested in art in the 8th grade when we were given the assignment to draw a water table. I've been interested ever since. I've taken several workshops around the United States as well as four years of classes in college. Arts Alive Studio is dedicated to providing the best art for the consumer to buy and place in their home.

I primarily paint in oils. I find the creamy feeling and texture help facilitate the creative drive when I paint. I do occasionally paint in acrylic or watercolors but that is generally restricted to studies for paintings I want to do in the future.

I have been involved in outdoor activities since I was a child and it's that involvement that drives me to paint landscapes, seascapes, and rural scenes. If you have ever seen an Elk standing in the dappled light of a forest, or a waterfall dropping off the side of a mountain, a wave breaking over rocks - well, that is where my inspiration comes from.
